Historical outline.
The manor in Jaszkowa Górna is most likely the oldest object of its kind in the Kłodzko Land. Its beginnings date back to 1502! At first, there stood a residential tower, whose rooms were so cramped that one entered it via external stairs at the first-floor level. The first manor in Jaszkowa may have been founded by Hans Daniel von Henningdorf /von Hausdorf/ in the first half of the 16th century.
Rebuilds in 1550 and then in the years 1570–1600 gradually made the manor a representative residence. In 1669, Princess Maria Benigna, widow of Duke Piccolomini, took up residence in Jaszkowa Górna. In 1696, she had to leave the manor, and it was bought from her by Count von Goetzen – owner of, among others, the residence in Bożków. Eventually, the object passed into the hands of the Magnis family and remained their property until the end of World War II. In the 20th century, the manor was renovated twice, the last time in the 1990s. For some time, it was even a more famous place, as the Museum of the Kłodzko Land moved into its historic halls for a certain period. Today, the object is owned by architect and antiquarian Jacek Kiliński.
Renovation works.
In the 1980s, the roof truss was replaced, and the roof covering was simultaneously changed, replacing asbestos cement with copper sheet. / Design for the adaptation of the palace in Jaszkowa Górna – architect J. Kołodziejski and architect J. Pałka. / In the 1980s, an inventory of the palace and a design for its adaptation for the needs of a museum storage facility with guest rooms and workshops were prepared. The approved design was partially implemented. Wooden ceilings and stairs to the attic were replaced with reinforced concrete. Weak structural elements were reinforced or replaced, and the cellars were rebuilt. Most rooms are in a plastered state, and a few even have doors and floors. Installation ducts and water supply and sewerage connections were made. A row of windows was installed in the roof to illuminate the planned guest rooms on the attic. On the southwestern side, a driveway and parking lots with a stone surface were built. The garden, with an area of almost 7000 sq m, is fenced and maintained in a wild state. The facade requires a major renovation, preserving the existing sgraffito.
The building is secured and monitored; it does not undergo further deterioration, apart from occasional theft. From the windows of the palace, there are unusually beautiful views of the area, unspoiled by modern development or industry. Most of the buildings in the village of Jaszkowa are over one hundred years old, solid, large farms made of stone and half-timbered construction. Forested hills cut by deep ravines, in which numerous streams flow, are a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. The gentle slopes of the meadows in winter can be attractive skiing trails. The area abounds, like all of Lower Silesia, in numerous monuments, and the nearest large city, Kłodzko, is only six kilometers away via a good road. Within a 15 km radius are tourist attractions such as: the Kłodzko Fortress and city, Bardo, Duszniki Zdrój, Wambierzyce, Polanica Zdrój, Kudowa Zdrój, Srebrna Góra with its Forts, Ząbkowice Śląskie, numerous castles and palaces, and industrial and cultural monuments. Wrocław is an hour's drive by international road. Berlin, Prague, Bratislava, and Vienna are closer than Warsaw.
On request, we can provide floor plans and elevations.
