Pao (袍): A long, one-piece robe put on over the head, often with a side closure, and an outer robe: Such as Shenyi (深衣) – a combined tunic and skirt/trousers in one piece, or Daopao (道袍) – a very long, wide robe with an underarm tie, popular among scholars. The headdress is Guan (冠) or Jin (巾): A formal cap (guan) or a soft, tied cap of scholars (jin). There was also a dai (带): A wide, decorative belt. As well as shoes: featuring clogs with upturned toes (云头履).
