We present a unique, original Iron Cross II Class (EK2) in the 1957 version, produced by the renowned company Steihauer & Luck from Lüdenscheid. It is the only manufacturer that, in its post-war crosses, directly referred to the form and manufacturing technology from the years of World War II, making this specimen exceptionally valuable for collectors of militaria. The cross features a three-part construction – it consists of a magnetic iron core and a silver frame (made of silvered tombak). This preserves its authentic, historical weight and texture. The ribbon does not fluoresce under UV light, confirming its age and compliance with original standards. We describe the condition as near perfect – minimal traces of time only highlight the authenticity of the item. It is an excellent proposition for enthusiasts of the history of the Third Reich, German militaria, and advanced collectors of military awards.
