We present to you an authentic bust of Vladimir Lenin made of gypsum or clay – a characteristic decorative element of offices and state institutions from the period of the Polish People's Republic and the USSR. Items of this type were mass-produced in the second half of the 20th century, and today they are a prized collectible, especially among enthusiasts of communist history and souvenirs of the socialist era.

The bust depicts a portrait of Lenin in a typical, austere style – with characteristic gaze and beard. The sculpture was made with attention to detail, which attests to the handcraft of the artist. It is worth adding that similar figures were sometimes created by local artists, including Gdańsk sculptor Zbigniew Zabrocki, though his works rarely depicted this particular figure.
