We offer a unique, authentic Orthodox icon depicting the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, traditionally referred to as Susałka. This extraordinary sacred object, painted on a gilded background, delights with its craftsmanship and deep symbolism. According to the canon, the icon depicts the two main pillars of the Church. On the left side we see Saint Peter, who may traditionally be shown with a scroll or keys – symbols of the authority entrusted to him by Christ. On the right side is Saint Paul, most often shown with a book or scroll, referencing his epistles and missionary activity. Their joint presence on one panel symbolizes the unity of the Church and the communion of their martyrdom in Rome.

Icons of the "Susałka" type form an important part of Orthodox and Greek Catholic cultural heritage.
