Miniature of the Medal For the Capture of Berlin - World War II, USSR
We present a unique, historical collector's item – a miniature version of the Soviet medal "For the Capture of Berlin". This official medal was established on June 9, 1945 by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR to reward all direct participants in the storming and capture of the capital of the Third Reich from April 22 to May 2, 1945.
The miniature, faithfully reproducing the details of the original award, is an extremely valuable testament to history. The obverse bears the inscription "FOR THE CAPTURE OF BERLIN" (Russian: "ЗА ВЗЯТИЕ БЕРЛИНА") and the date "2 MAY 1945", surrounded by a laurel wreath. Above the inscription is a five-pointed star, and below – a hammer and sickle, symbolizing the victory of the Soviet Union. The reverse features the inscription "FOR OUR SOVIET MOTHERLAND" (Russian: "ЗА НАШУ СОВЕТСКУЮ РОДИНУ").
This precisely crafted miniature is an excellent item for collectors of militaria, philatelists, and enthusiasts of World War II history. It is an artifact of enormous historical and educational value, reminding us of one of the key, final episodes of the greatest armed conflict in history. It is ideal for display in a showcase, as a supplement to a collection of awards, or as a unique, historically charged gift for a lover of 20th-century history.
