Uniform with shako for a gendarme of the Third German Reich, 20th century, Germany

Uniform from the period of the Third German Reich, corresponding to the formation of the police of the time. Dated to the 20th century. The uniform also includes a shako. The shako (Tschako) is a form of headgear distinguished by its high cylindrical shape. Most often made of felt or wool felt, its color matches the rest of the uniform. Single-breasted uniform, with an orange patch on the left sleeve, showing an eagle with a swastika. The orange color used in details may suggest the formation of field gendarmerie (Feldgendarmerie).
