Exceptional and rare example of a historical duplicator of the German brand Geha-Regent from the early 20th century. This duplicator has an extraordinary, dual history. Produced in Germany at the beginning of the last century, it later served in the 1980s in Poland for duplicating illegal publications – underground press prints, leaflets, materials of the Solidarity underground’s "bibuła". Such devices were worth their weight in gold at the time, forming the technological backbone for independent culture and the democratic opposition.

Technical description and condition:
The machine is a German piston duplicator (so-called "hectograph" or "spirit duplicator") of the Geha-Regent type. It works on the principle of transferring an image from a master made on a special backing (e.g., with a typewriter) onto successive, damp sheets of paper. The construction is solid, mechanical, made of metal and durable materials. According to the seller’s description – it is functional, meaning it is suitable for display and even for use.
