Painting on glass - Hejnowska - Polish art of the 20th century
We present a unique, authentic painting on glass by Hejnowska, constituting a beautiful example of Polish art from the 20th century. This unique collector's item combines the traditional technique of glass painting with the artist's individual style, creating a piece of art with a unique character and great historical and artistic value.
Paintings on glass are one of the most characteristic and valued forms of Polish folk art, particularly associated with the regions of Podhale, Spisz, and Orawa. This technique, requiring extraordinary precision and reverse application of paints, allowed for the achievement of intense, luminous colors. The presented example, signed by Hejnowska, represents this beautiful tradition while being a testament to the individual expression of the creator.

We invite you to the Passage Gallery of the Municipal Cultural Center in Łajskach for the opening of the second part of the exhibition of works by Regina Hejnowska – a resident of Sikory, an artist who paints on glass.
Following the highly acclaimed, colorful abstractions, the Artist will now present works dominated by shades of dignified gold and brown, though not devoid of color. This is an eclectic yet strongly consistent collection. From mysterious portraits of people and animals (!), scenes full of symbolism referring to naive and religious painting, through a sample of bold caricatures, to labor-intensive, sophisticated still lifes – mainly flowers reminiscent of stained glass and art from the Secession era. Among them, notable surprises. An exhibition full of threads, content, and inspiration.
