Here is a unique monument of medical and industrial technology – an original, Czechoslovak electric air compressor of the Chirana brand from 1955. This device is a real time capsule that takes us to dental offices of the 1950s and 1960s, once being the heart of dental units.

The manufacturer is the famous company Chirana, a renowned producer of precision medical and dental equipment. The year of production – 1955 – has been confirmed on the preserved, original nameplate, which gives the item authenticity and clear collector's value.

Principle of operation and application: This compact compressor sucked in atmospheric air, compressed it using a solid compressor block, and stored it in a pressure tank, supplying sterile, compressed air to dental tools. Outside of medicine, this type of compressor later found application in modeling and artistic workshops, e.g., for powering airbrushes or small spray guns.

Condition and collector's value: The device shows typical patina of age, being a testament to its era.
