Large openwork chalice - cup made of silver, 800 purity, 19th century, Germany. Richly decorated, made with attention to detail. It has a massive octagonal base, each facet decorated with cartouches and garland motifs. The stem of the chalice is massive, decorated with a mesh pattern, which lightens its appearance, and from it emerges the cup with eight fields, alternately featuring cartouches with garlands, volute drips, and a depiction of a woman and a man in a garden. Between the fields, there are elongated flutings forming an arch shape, above which are set garlands and floral motifs. The rim of the cup is crowned with a cord ornament, interrupted by a cartouche.
