Valuation of antique objects and works of art: old and contemporary art, old and contemporary artistic craftsmanship, and collectibles. VALUATION and EXPERTISE – FOR CLIENTS OF THE COMPANY, I.E. PERSONS WHO BUY OR SELL THE VALUED ITEM IN LAPIDARIUM, THIS SERVICE IS FREE OF CHARGE. To carry out a valuation, the object must be delivered to Lapidarium at the owner's expense, or after agreement with the owner of Lapidarium, the item can be sent at the sender's own cost and risk by mail. The return of the item will take place after payment of the valuation and shipping costs. Based on documentation, we valuate items by correspondence under special conditions, which are provided in this section. IN EVERY OTHER CASE, THE FOLLOWING PRICES APPLY: Price list for valuation and expertise of antique objects: old and contemporary art, old and contemporary artistic craftsmanship, and collectibles. The valuation is performed based on current catalogs, price lists, and expert opinions. For thirty years, we have cooperated with a group of trusted specialists. We determine market prices based on auction listings from Poland and abroad, online auctions, and with the help of art historians and collectors. The valuation is carried out in writing for each object on a separate form and includes: 1/ description of the item, key dimensions or weight, place and time of creation, material of manufacture, description of the item's condition, value, commission price, and a possible purchase offer for Lapidarium, as well as information on whether the item can be exported outside Poland. The valuation is signed by the company owner and stamped with the round stamp of Lapidarium. SMALL ITEMS OF LITTLE VALUE OR COPIES MAY BE VALUED ON A COLLECTIVE FORM WITHOUT A DETAILED DESCRIPTION. PRICE LIST: 1/ Items valued up to PLN 1000 – 10% of the valuation value but not less than PLN 25.. 2/ Items with a value from PLN 1000 to PLN 5000 – 5% of the valuation value. 3/ Items with a value from PLN 5000 to PLN 30,000 – 3% of the valuation value. 4/ Items with a value higher than PLN 30,000 – the valuation cost is determined individually. Items with the same signature or very similar to each other are valued at rates individually agreed with the client but not lower than 2% of the valuation value. The minimum price for a single valuation certificate is PLN 25. In addition to the item description, the valuation certificate contains three prices: the market price, the commission price, and a possible proposed purchase price by Lapidarium. It is possible to valuate an object based on documentation, but in this case, our company does not take full responsibility for the assessment of authenticity or condition of the object. The documentation should include photographs and detailed information about the condition of the object, especially visible repairs. If the valuation of an item requires a special, specialist expertise, at least PLN 280 is added to the valuation cost. The client will be notified of such a need. We do not valuate collections of books, philatelic items, or numismatic items. Single copies are valuated. The valuation is free of charge if the object is purchased by us or placed on commission sale for at least 60 days in one of our galleries. Online valuation: PLN 150 per item.
